Lip Synch Evaluation and Feedback

Image
One shot that we had to refilm was a performance shot at the beginning of the video. In the first clip, the performer got the words slightly wrong which made it more difficult for us to match up the lip synching to the song. We refilmed the clip and the second time was much more successful, with the performer making sure she got all the words right which made it much easier for us to match the lip synching with the music in the video and as a result this part of the video looked much better.

Rough Cut Video and Feedback

Image
This is a rough cut of our music video. There are still some blank spaces that we need to fill, and we are going to add another performance shot at the beginning and a pan of a landscape as an establishing shot to introduce the video. There is a shot while the main character is out with her friends and she gets a text from her mum; it is obvious that this is not filmed in the same place and this is a continuity issue. We will refilm that shot in an outside space to show that she is in the same place when she gets the text. We have included the Samaritans helpline number at the end of the video, we got this idea from some of our audience feedback and the music video for 1-800 by logic and decided we would like to include it in our video. However, after doing some more research into existing music videos we have decided to remove it as it does not follow conventions. We are also going to add an effect over the whole video once we are finished, to add a darker, grey atmosphere to refl...

Digipak and Album Advert Update 4 (Major Update)

Image
This is my album advert so far. I have included all the conventions and features I would like to include and there is a lot of empty space. I wasn't sure how to continue from this point so I collected a small amount of audience feedback in the hope that I would gain some ideas from this. I asked three members of my target audience about my current album update (detailed feedback can be seen in the previous post) and from this feedback I was able to make small changes which had a major effect on the overall advert design. My updated design can be seen below: I then needed to change the front cover panel of my digipak to match my new album advert, so the before and after front covers can be seen below: As you can see, I changed the album title to match the new one on my album advert and added in the same background, and removed the reflection of the artists name.

Audience Feedback on Album Advert

I made the changes to my album advert that I stated I was going to make in the last ancillary task update, and this is what I then had: I was unsure what to do next as I had a lot of empty space at the bottom and around the image of the artist and the advert didn't look very eye catching in general. I asked three members of my target audience for feedback on my current design, to see what changes I needed to make in order to ensure my advert was attractive to my target audience. I used the Web 2.0 tool Powtoon to present this feedback.      The changes I have made based on this feedback can be seen in the following post titled 'major update'

Digipak and Album Advert Update 3

This is my album advert design so far. The next things I need to do are to move the release date down and into the middle, and make it all on one line as this will be more eye-catching. I can then move the 'featuring' up to fill the empty space around the artist's head. I need to change the font of the website at the bottom as I am no longer using this font anywhere else so it does not match the rest of the advert, I also need to make it a little bigger. This is my digipak design so far. The next things I need to do are move the big beat logo to the other side of the text and move the text to the centre. I also need to change the font of the lyrics, this will match the new font chosen for the website on my album advert to ensure continuation of house style between my album advert and digipak.

Audience Feedback on Advert and Digipak

My album advert and digipak are not yet completed, but I have asked my target audience for some feedback based on what I have done so far, to ensure it is attractive to my target audience and there are no major changes that need to be made. I have used the Web 2.0 tool Prezi to present this feedback.

This is my album advert and digipak so far. The next post details audience feedback that I received on my work as it is at the moment to see what my target audience thought of it and what improvements could be made.
