Research Into My Group's Chosen Artist

I have done some research into the artist I will be using for my music video. I have presented this using the Web 2.0 tool Prezi. This research will help me when making my music video because it gives me a feel of the style and image the artist has created for herself and this will help especially when creating my album advert and digipak because my final products are representing her as an artist, and I can use this research to get an idea of the kind of image I need to portray.

    Hi Rachel,

    This is good, with some relevant information in there. However, I don't think you are taking it far enough and only hinting at information that is important.

    You mustn't leave us guessing as to what you mean. For example, in the written summary you say that this information will help you as it will give you an idea of the kind of image you need to portray...Well, what is that image? Tell us!

    Also, in the Prezi, you mention the artist style, but why is this important to know? You describe two song types but not what the definitive style is.

    Make sure you are being definitive in your posts.

Evaluation Question 3

I used the Web 2.0 tools Piktochart and Slideshare to present my answers to the evaluation question 'What have you learnt from your audience feedback?' Through answering this evaluation question, I was able to reflect on whether I made full use of my audience feedback during the creation of my final products, or whether I could have collected more or used the feedback I had in a more effective way. Researching final products similar to yours is important but to rely solely on your own research and not utilise the opinion of your target audience may not have been the most effective process, as your target audience can tell you what it is that will attract them to a product on a more personal level that cannot be reached through research alone. I feel that I did use my audience feedback effectively, although I feel that it would have been useful to me to have collected more feedback from my target audience throughout the process of production of all of my final products. ...

Evaluation Question 4

I have used the Web 2.0 tools Slideshare, Powtoon and Piktochart to present my answer to the evaluation question 'How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?' Through answering this evaluation question, I was able to reflect on my use of technology throughout the process of completing my coursework. I was able to look at the progress I had made from AS to A2, and look at the things that I have improved on, as well as identify the elements that I still find challenging. My answers to this question will be very helpful to me when it comes to preparing for section 1a of the exam paper, which requires me to evaluate my coursework in detail and explain the differences between my work at AS level and my work at A2.
